Anyone who can already read the Qurʾān and wants to read it as it was revealed — including adults who learned as children and were never corrected.
- Makhārij and ṣifāt — where each letter is made and what gives it its character
- The rules of nūn sākinah and tanwīn: iẓhār, idghām, iqlāb, ikhfāʾ
- Mīm sākinah, qalqalah and the ghunnah
- Every kind of madd, and where to stop and where to continue
Recites with the rules applied without thinking about them, and can name the rule when asked.
Each rule is taught on the mushaf page it appears in, not from a chart. The teacher points at the word, the student recites it, and the correction is made on the word itself — and stays on the record for the monthly report.
- Examined in recitation and in teaching, from a recording, before appointment
- Background-checked; technically ready; committed to your timetable
- Female teacher for a female student, on request — fixed on the record
Group of 10 — 50% less than one-to-one. One-off admission fee $49, charged only if you accept a place at the trial. Full fee schedule
About Tajweed
Can adults learn tajweed online?
Yes, and many do. The lessons are one-to-one, so the teacher works on the specific letters and rules you find hard rather than following a class. Adults who learned to read as children often need only a few months to correct habits that have been there for years.
Which tajweed book do you follow?
The course follows the sequence of Tuḥfat al-Aṭfāl, the classical poem of tajwīd, but every rule is taught on the mushaf page where it occurs, so you learn to recognise it in real recitation.
Do I need to finish Nazirah before Tajweed?
You need to be able to read from the mushaf. If you can, Tajweed can be taken alone or alongside Nazirah.
