How the school keeps children safe online
A child alone in a room with an adult on a screen is the situation every online academy creates and few address. This page says what we do about it, in full, so a parent can hold us to it.
1. Every teacher is examined and background-checked before appointment
No candidate meets a student before passing a recorded entrance examination in recitation and teaching, completing a background check, and passing the school's technical readiness check. The Registrar records each step, and a teacher whose check lapses is suspended from the floor until it is renewed. Teachers sign a continuity undertaking that includes this policy.
2. The classroom is supervised and closed
The school's coordinator sees every live lesson on one screen and can enter any classroom at any time without notice — as a head teacher walks a corridor. Each lesson has its own one-time link, sent only to the family and the teacher; there are no public meeting IDs and no one outside the lesson's own people can join. Screen sharing by a student requires the teacher's permission. Chat and files stay inside the lesson and are kept by the school.
3. Every lesson with a child is recorded, and the parent can watch it
Lessons involving a student under eighteen are recorded from start to finish. A guardian may watch any recording of their own child from the family portal, at any time, without asking. Recordings are stored encrypted, kept for the period stated in the family's enrolment, and never used in advertising, training material or anything else without the guardian's written, revocable consent. Teachers cannot delete or edit recordings.
4. Gender-matched teaching is honoured on the record
A family may require a female teacher for a girl or a woman, or a male teacher for a boy. The requirement is fixed on the student's record at booking and the school's assignment system will not assign against it — it is not a preference that gives way to availability. A substitute teacher is bound by the same requirement.
5. The school collects the minimum
A child's record holds a first name, an age and the teacher-gender requirement. No home address, no school name, no photograph. A guardian's record holds a name, an email address and a WhatsApp number. Card details are held by Stripe, never by the school. Nothing is shared with any third party for marketing.
6. Conduct
- Teachers contact families only through the school's own channels, never through private numbers or social media.
- No teacher arranges a lesson, a message or a call with a child outside the timetabled classroom.
- A teacher never asks for a photograph, a video or personal information from a child.
- Correction is of recitation, never of the child. A student who is struggling is helped; a student who misses a week is welcomed back.
- Any concern raised by a family is logged and answered by a named member of staff, not the teacher concerned.
7. Raising a concern
Anything that worries you — however small — reaches the coordinator directly on WhatsApp at +92 345 1821772 or by email at admissions@schoolofquranicstudies.com. The recording of the lesson in question is available to you at once. Where a concern involves a teacher, that teacher is taken off the floor while it is looked into. Where a concern involves a risk to a child, the school will contact the relevant authorities in the family's country.
8. Advertising and social media
No photograph, video, first name, voice or recitation of any enrolled child appears in any advertisement or post without the guardian's written consent recorded by the school — and that consent may be withdrawn at any time. Where a creative needs a human subject, the school uses a consenting teacher, an illustration, or the product itself.
