The agreement between your family and the school
Plain terms, in the order they matter: the free trial, admission, fees, the timetable, conduct, and how either side ends it.
Last updated 2 September 2026. This applies to schoolofquranicstudies.com and to the school's classroom and family portal at squran.com.
1. The free trial
The trial lesson is free: ten minutes of teaching and ten minutes of your questions. To hold the slot you save a card through Stripe. Saving a card charges nothing. If you do not attend and do not tell us, we may decline to offer a further free trial; nothing is charged either way.
2. Admission
At the end of the trial the teacher may offer a place. If you accept, the one-off admission fee of $49 is charged to the card you saved, and the enrolment begins. If you decline, or if the teacher does not offer a place, nothing is charged and the card authorisation is released. The school may decline admission where it cannot properly serve a student — for example when no teacher is available at the times a family needs.
3. Fees and billing
Monthly fees are those published on the fees page on the day you enrol, in US dollars. Your card is charged in its own currency by Stripe at that day's rate. Fees are billed monthly in advance from the family portal, where you control autopay and may remove a card. There is no contract and no notice period. If a payment fails we tell you plainly and lessons continue while you update the card; if it remains unpaid, lessons may be paused after we have contacted you. The school will give at least thirty days' notice in writing before changing a fee for an enrolled family.
4. The timetable
The coordinator builds and keeps the weekly timetable in your timezone. Tell us in advance and a lesson is moved. A lesson missed without notice is not usually rescheduled, though the coordinator will use judgement — illness and emergencies are not penalised. If a teacher is unavailable, the school provides a substitute bound by the same requirements, including any female-teacher requirement, or moves the lesson.
5. Conduct
Lessons are a place of study. The school may end an enrolment where a student or a family is abusive to a teacher, and will do so immediately in the case of threats. Teachers are bound by the safeguarding policy, which includes never contacting a child outside the classroom.
6. Recordings
Lessons involving a student under eighteen are recorded, and the guardian may watch any recording of their own child. By enrolling you consent to this recording. Recordings are not used for any other purpose without your separate written consent.
7. Scholarships
The Scholars Programme awards are decided from the monthly record against the criteria published on that page, and are applied automatically to the next invoice. There is nothing to apply for. An award is not withdrawn for any reason outside those published criteria.
8. Ending lessons
You may stop at any time from the family portal, effective at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no exit fee. The admission fee is not refundable once admission has been accepted, because it pays for the placement and set-up that follow. Where the school ends an enrolment for its own reasons, any unused portion of the month is refunded.
9. What we do not promise
We do not promise a particular pace of learning or a completion date — those depend on the student, and the monthly report is how you see the real progress rather than a guess. We do not promise uninterrupted service: the internet fails, and where a lesson is lost to our side it is rescheduled at no cost. The school's liability is limited to the fees you have paid it.
10. Changes and law
These terms may change; the version in force is the one published here, and enrolled families are told in writing before a change that affects them. The school is operated by School of Qur'anic Studies, based in Pakistan, and these terms are governed by the law of Pakistan. Nothing here removes a consumer right you hold in your own country.
The trial is free and saving a card charges nothing. The admission fee is charged only if you accept a place. Monthly fees are published, billed month to month, and you can stop any month with no notice and no exit fee.
