How to get your money back

Written the way you would want to read it if you were asking for your money back: what can be charged, what can be refunded, how to ask, and how long it takes.

Last updated 2 September 2026. This applies to schoolofquranicstudies.com and to the school's classroom and family portal at squran.com.

1. What the school can ever charge you

Two things, and nothing else:

  • A one-off admission fee of $49 — charged only at the moment you accept a place after the trial lesson.
  • A monthly fee — the amount published on the fees page on the day you enrol, billed a month at a time, in advance.

There is no contract, no minimum term, no notice period, no exit fee, no registration fee, no material fee and no cancellation charge. Nothing is ever charged to a card without a family accepting a place first.

2. The trial lesson is free

The trial is ten minutes of teaching and ten minutes of your questions, and it costs nothing. You save a card through Stripe to hold the slot; saving a card charges nothing and the authorisation is released if you do not take a place. There is nothing to refund because nothing has been taken.

3. Your 14-day right to cancel

Because you enrol at a distance, you may cancel within 14 days of accepting a place and receive a full refund of the admission fee and any monthly fee paid, without giving a reason. This is a right for consumers in the United Kingdom and the European Union, and the school extends it to every family everywhere on the same terms.

If you ask for lessons to begin inside that 14-day window — which most families do — you are asking for the service to start early, and we may keep a proportionate amount for the lessons actually taught before you cancelled. The rest is refunded. If no lesson has been taught, the refund is complete.

4. The admission fee

Refunded in full if you cancel within 14 days and no lesson has been taught, or at any time if the school cannot then provide a teacher at the times your family agreed. After that window it is not refundable, because it pays for the placement, the timetable and the account set-up that have already been done.

5. Monthly fees, and stopping

You may stop at any time from the family portal. Lessons continue to the end of the month you have already paid for, and nothing further is billed. Because the month is already taught, a completed month is not refunded — you keep the lessons you paid for.

If you stop mid-month and ask us not to teach the remainder, we refund the unused lessons pro rata. Just tell us; we do not require a reason.

6. A lesson the school fails to deliver

If a teacher does not appear, or our classroom fails, that lesson is rescheduled at no cost at a time you choose. If you would rather have the money, it is refunded pro rata. This is the school's failure and it is never your loss.

If the school ends an enrolment for its own reasons, the unused portion of the month is refunded in full.

7. A lesson the student misses

Tell the coordinator in advance and the lesson is moved, not lost. A lesson missed with no notice is not usually rescheduled or refunded, because the teacher held that time. Illness and family emergencies are not penalised — the coordinator uses judgement, and you will not be arguing with a rule.

8. How to ask for a refund

Write to admissions@schoolofquranicstudies.com or message the admissions desk on WhatsApp at +92 345 1821772. Say the student's name and what you want refunded. You do not need a form, a reason or a template.

We answer within two working days, Every day, 9:00–21:00 Pakistan time (UTC+5).

9. How long it takes, and in what currency

An approved refund is returned to the card that was charged. It leaves the school immediately and normally reaches the card within 10 working days, depending on your bank.

Fees are set in USD. Your card is charged by Stripe in your own currency at that day's rate, and a refund is returned as the same USD amount. If your currency has moved in between, your bank may credit slightly more or less in local money than it originally took. That difference is the exchange rate, not a deduction by the school, and we never keep a part of a refund.

10. If you are not satisfied

Tell us before you tell your bank. Almost everything is settled the same day by a message to the admissions desk, and a chargeback takes weeks and helps no one. If we cannot put it right, say so plainly and we will escalate it to the school's coordinator, who answers within five working days.

Nothing on this page removes a right you hold under the consumer law of your own country.
