What we hold, and what we never ask for

The school collects the minimum it needs to teach your child and take payment. This page says exactly what that is, who else sees it, and how to have it erased.

Last updated 2 September 2026. This applies to schoolofquranicstudies.com and to the school's classroom and family portal at squran.com.

1. What we collect

About the student: a first name, an age, the course, and whether the family requires a female or male teacher. That is all. We do not ask for a surname, a home address, a school, a photograph or a date of birth.

About the guardian: a name, an email address, a WhatsApp number, and a timezone.

From the lessons: attendance, the pages and passages covered, the words corrected, and the recordings described below.

From this website: the page you landed on, the referring site, and any campaign parameters in the link you clicked (utm_source and the like). These are kept in your own browser and are sent to us only if you complete a booking.

2. Why we hold it

To teach the student, to build a timetable in your timezone, to write the monthly report, to take payment, and to keep children safe. Nothing is collected "in case it is useful later", and nothing is sold or shared for anyone else's marketing, ever.

3. Children

A child does not hold an account with the school. The guardian holds the account and the child is a record within it. All correspondence goes to the guardian. A guardian may see, correct or erase everything held about their own child at any time.

4. Recordings

Lessons involving a student under eighteen are recorded in full, because a recorded lesson protects the child, the teacher and you. Recordings are encrypted, are visible to that child's own guardians, the teaching staff and the coordinator, and to nobody else. They are never used in advertising, in training material or for any other purpose without the guardian's written consent, which may be withdrawn at any time. Teachers cannot edit or delete a recording.

5. Payments

Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted page and are held by Stripe. The school never sees, receives or stores a card number. We hold only a token that lets us charge the agreed fee, the last four digits, and the payment history.

6. Who else sees it

  • Stripe — payments.
  • The school's own servers — the classroom, recordings and records.
  • Email and WhatsApp providers — to send you the lesson link, the report and the invoice.
  • Meta and Google — only if you arrived from one of our advertisements, and only the fact that a booking happened; never your child's name, age or any lesson content.

No one else. We do not sell data and we run no data brokers.

7. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores two things in your browser: which advertisement brought you here, so we know which campaigns work, and whether you have already seen the chat prompt. Both stay on your device. If advertising measurement is enabled, Meta's and Google's tags may set their own cookies — you can block them in your browser and nothing on this site will stop working.

8. How long we keep it

Enrolment records and reports for as long as the family is enrolled, and for the period agreed at enrolment afterwards, so a certificate can be verified. Recordings for the period stated in the family's enrolment. Enquiries that never became enrolments are deleted within twelve months. Financial records are kept as long as the law requires.

9. Your rights, and erasure

You may ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you and your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to admissions@schoolofquranicstudies.com or message the admissions desk. We answer within thirty days, and erasure is free. Where you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR apply to this processing and you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

10. Contact

School of Qur'anic Studies · admissions@schoolofquranicstudies.com · WhatsApp +92 345 1821772 · Every day, 9:00–21:00 Pakistan time (UTC+5).

The short version

A first name and an age for the child, a name and a contact for you. Card details never touch our servers. Lessons with children are recorded and only you and the teaching staff can watch them. Ask us to erase it all and we will, free, within thirty days.
